Junior MasterChef 2020 winner cooks Sri Lankan dish at finale

Georgia has won the Junior MasterChef Australia 2020, after presenting the judges with a three curry Sri Lankan meal. The challenge was to create a two-course meal for four, with 90 minutes for each course, a main and a dessert. Georgia has won by presenting the judges with Sri Lankan yellow rice, pork curry, cashew curry and raita, with a toasted coconut ice cream slice. the Huffington Post meanwhile reported that Georgia has previously credited her grandmother for teaching her to cook. “I’m very close to my Nanna and my Papa,” Georgia said on the Channel 10 reality show, explaining she’s also learnt to make dishes that reflect her cultural heritage. “They’re both Sri Lankan. My Nanna taught me how to make lots of different Sri Lankan food,” she said.
