Two more COVID-19 deaths reported

Two more COVID-19 deaths reported in the country increasing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 44, the Government Information Department said. The victims aged 40 and 45 were residents of Colombo 11 and Kelaniya respectively. The 40-year-old victim was pronounced dead on admission to the National Hospital, Colombo. A heart attack caused by COVID-19 infection was identified as the cause of the death. The second victim who was a resident of Kelaniya had been undergoing treatment at the Hambantota District Hospital from November 1 after being tested positive for the virus.
