COVID-19 death toll increases to 53

The number of COVID-19 deaths reported in the country has increased to 53 today, the Government Information Department said. It said four male COVID-19 patients and one female patient were among the latest deaths. An 83-year-old female from Colombo 14 who was a diabetic patient, a 68-year-old male from Chilaw, a 69-year-old male from Ratmalana, a 78-year-old male and a 64-year-old male from Colombo 13 are the five COVID-19 deaths that were reported today.
