COVID-19 risk remains in WP, Colombo: Dr. Samaraweera

The risk of COVID-19 still remains in the Western Province, especially within the Colombo municipality and suburbs, Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said. He said Colombo municipality and suburbs were the most affected by the virus and said the risk remains in identified MOH areas in both Colombo and Gampaha Districts. “Comparatively, the Western Province is a COVID-19 hotbed. Therefore, the people in the province have a special responsibility to restrict movement ad remain at home,” he said.
