The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) today assured that the operations at the COVID-19 hit Colombo Port would function at its full capacity in the coming week. SLPA Chairman General Daya Ratnayake said steps have been taken to prevent the virus spread at the premises and that random PCR tests are also continuing to be conducted. “We have recruited additional staff members to handle operations at the port since 30 per cent of employees are still undergoing quarantine. However, our operations are returning to normalcy,” he said.
