Five more COVID-19 deaths reported

Five more COVID-19 deaths were reported in the country today increasing the COVID-19 death toll to 58, the Government Information Department said. All victims were residents of Colombo municipality areas. A 54-year-old male from Jinthupitiya, Colombo 13 and a 39-year-old male from Colombo 15--both cancer patients--were among the deaths that were reported. Two 88-year-old men from Colombo 12 and Colombo 13 who died from heart attacks on admission to the National Hospital, Colombo were also found positive for the virus. Meanwhile, a 79-year-old male from Colombo 8 died from the virus at home.
