Bus transporting Parliamentary staff overturns into pool of water near Diyawanna Oya

A bus transporting parliamentary staff has overturned into a pool of water  Diyawanna connecting to Diyawanna Oya this afternoon, stated Parliament Sergeant at Arms Narendra Fernando. Close to 15 people were traveling in the bus at the time of the accident. Due to the heavy rain that fell in the afternoon, the driver did not observe the road properly and caused the accident. An eyewitness who witnessed the incident said that the accident took place at the "T" bend near the Parliament complex.
