Parliamentary Council recommends appointment of C. D. Wickremarathne as IGP

Parliamentary Council recommends to appoint C. D. Wickremeratne as the Inspector General of Police (IGP). Wickremeratne, a distinguished officer in the police department with 33 year career was appointed as the acting IGP following the Easter Sunday attack as then IGP Pujith Jayasundara was interdicted pending investigations.
