Over 26,000 Afghan children deceased from wars and terrorist attacks since 2005: UN

The United Nations stated in a survey that 26,025 Afghan children have been killed in wars and terrorist attacks between 2005 and 2019. Accordingly, the average number of deaths of at least 5 children per day has been taken.

Despite US-sponsored peace talks between terrorist groups and the Afghan government, violence against civilians remains high. According to the latest United Nations data, Afghanistan is one of the 11 most dangerous countries for children to live in.
