COVID-19 death toll increases to 99

The number of COVID-19 deaths reported in the country has increased to 99 along with three deaths that were reported today, the Government Information Department said. A 87-year-old male from Colombo 8 died from a bacteria infection and the COVID-19 virus. A 80-year-old male from Colombo 4 died from high blood pressure and COVID-19 pneumonia at the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital. The third victim was a 73-year-old female from Peliyagoda who suffered a stroke at the National Hospital, Colombo.
