Sunny Side Up: Firewood goes online 

The shortage of LP gas has now prompted online retailers to sell firewood and clay hearths online.  One online platform had reportedly sold over 1,000 bundles of firewood at Rs. 140 per five-kilo bundle. A package deal was also offered where a five-kilo bundle of firewood and a clay hearth was sold at Rs. 390.  “We never imagined we would be selling firewood online. But it is selling pretty fast,” the Kapruka.com Founder and Chairman Dulith Herath stated on his Facebook account.  The demand for firewood increased as long queues were seen outside LP gas stores recently.
