Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Party has formed branches in Sri Lanka, according to the Save Our Motherland Unity Organisation Secretary Chirantha Amarasinghe.
Such statements, along with demands to remove Sri Lanka from the Akhand Bharat Map within 7 days, were raised by the Organisation outside the Indian High Commission in Colombo yesterday (21). The group had arrived to deliver a letter to the High Commission on the same, but as they had arrived after hours, an email was sent instead.
"The Presidential commission has identified some extremist groups linked to the April 21st attacks. This includes a group called Siva Senai. It says the extremist groups are behind causing political instability, and we are requesting for Sri Lanka to be excluded from the Akhand Bharat map within 7 days. India considers Sri Lanka as part of them, whereas Sri Lanka is a sovereign country and not a part of India. Narendra Modi's BJP has formed branches in Sri Lanka, and Subramaniam Swamy confirmed that," said Amarasinghe.
He further went on to say that demands have been made to stop all connections between Sri Lanka and the Siva Senai group in India, along with the removal of all BJP branches in Sri Lanka.
The Akhand Bharat map is an irredentist term meaning Undivided India, and compromises of modern day India, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Tibet, Sri Lanka and Burma.
