Sunny Side Up: Basil to acquire more

Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa last week made an interesting statement with regard to the state acquisition of illegal assets. Rajapaksa told Parliament that like the move to acquire the monies earned through the controversial Central Bank Treasury bond scam, he would not hesitate to acquire any other assets if they are proven to be illegally acquired assets. He also called on Opposition MPs to present any other such illegally acquired assets for the State to acquire.
