Pakistan garment company to explore investment in SL

M/S Zeitgeist, a garment export company that is based in Lahore, Pakistan, is to explore opportunities for investment in Sri Lanka in the apparel sector.
Accordingly, the directors of M/S Zeitgeist recently visited the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI). The delegation consisted of Saad Bin Khalid, Dr. Bilal Bin Khalid, Hashim Khalid, and Daniyal Khalid of M/S Zeitgeist.
BOI Chairman Eng. Raja Edirisuriya briefed on the investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, highlighting the advantages offered to the textile/apparel industry, including the dedicated textile manufacturing park currently being developed at Eravur, Batticaloa.
The delegation visited the Katunayake Export Processing Zone and the Port City followed by a meeting with the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF).
BOI Director General Renuka Weerakone and Executive Director Prasanjith Wijayathilake also participated in the discussion.
M/S Zeitgeist is a manufacturer of yarn, fabrics, and garments. The high-quality garments are exported to the European Economic Community, the UK, and North America.
