Prime Minister(PM) Harini Amarasuriya stated that an inclusive society ensuring the rights and well-being of senior citizens must be built.

She noted that ensuring safety, health, and dignity for the elderly is a shared responsibility of the government and society.

The remarks were made during the opening of the ‘Silver Age Center’ in Kataragama.

The centre focuses on elder care, training, and research with modern facilities.
