Newly appointed Sri Lanka Navy Commander Vice Admiral Damian Fernando has paid a courtesy call on Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne at Parliament.

They discussed national and maritime security, coordination among State institutions, and cooperation to support national development.

Vice Admiral Fernando also highlighted the Navy's commercial boat manufacturing initiative and efforts to promote tourism in the Northern Province islands.
