Police have arrested 593 suspects during island-wide operations targeting crime and drug prevention.

A total of 27,042 individuals were checked during operations conducted yesterday (02), police stated.

Among those arrested were 229 warrant suspects, 122 open warrant suspects, 121 drunk drivers, and 88 reckless drivers.

Legal action has also been initiated against 3,977 people for traffic-related offences.
