The notorious organized criminals “Kanjipani Imran” and Amila Sepala Ratnayake, alias “Rotumbe Amila,” have reportedly been arrested in Russia. 

Allegedly, Sri Lankan authorities have not been officially informed regarding the matter, as per sources. Accordingly, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has reportedly requested Interpol to confirm the matter.

Previously, the pair had been arrested in Dubai with drug kingpin “Makandure Madush,” who was later killed in Sri Lanka. 

Both fugitives had fled Sri Lanka after being granted bail. Kanjipani Imran is also suspected in the “Club Wasantha” murder, with bullets marked “KPI in the shooting incident .”
