The Bandaranaike Memorial National Foundation has donated Rs. 250 million to support national recovery efforts following the recent disaster.

The contribution was handed over to Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya by the foundation’s chairperson, former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Dr. Hinduma Sunil Senevi and members of the foundation’s Board of Directors were also present at the occasion.
