Team Kandy who took part in the recently concluded National Super League beat Canada by 24 runs in their 50 overs warm-up game which concluded at the Colts ground on Tuesday (7).
The game was played in preparation for the upcoming NSL 50-over tournament. Young seamer Nipun Ransika was the highlight of the game with a fine spell of five for 47. With the bat for Kandy, Sandun Weerakody scored a quick-fire 87 while Thanuka Dabare scored 58 runs.
