At just 10 years old, Angage Vinudi Radinsa Perera, fondly known as Radinsa, enjoys exploring her interests through sports, art, and school activities.

A Grade 5 student at St. John’s Girls’ School, Panadura, she has already achieved success in both gymnastics and drawing. She has represented Sri Lanka at an international gymnastics tournament in Malaysia and recently won first place in a national art competition.

Along with these achievements, Radinsa enjoys learning new skills, spending time with her family, and taking part in activities that help her grow.

The Sunday Morning Little Stars spoke with this talented young student about her hobbies, experiences, and the people who encourage her along the way.

Can you introduce yourself to our readers?

My full name is Angage Vinudi Radinsa Perera, but my friends call me Radinsa.

I am 10 years old and study in Grade 5 at St. John’s Girls’ School, Panadura. I live in Kuruppumulla, Panadura with my parents and my little sister, who is just two years old.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love drawing and dancing. They are my favourite hobbies, and I enjoy spending my free time being creative.

Tell us about your gymnastics journey.

I have been doing gymnastics since Grade 2 and have taken part in many competitions. I also learnt swimming until Grade 3, but I stopped for a while so I could focus on preparing for my Scholarship Examination.

Have you won any special awards in gymnastics?

Yes. Last September, I travelled to Malaysia for the Total Gym International Gymnastics Tournament (TGIGT) held in Kajang, Malaysia. I won a medal by finishing in eighth place in the Gym Dance event.

This year, I also won a Silver Award at the Sri Lanka Schools Gymnastics Association’s Gym for Life Challenge 2025, held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo.

We heard you’re also a talented artist! Tell us about that.

I attend art classes conducted by Shehara Siribaddana, and I am very thankful for her guidance and encouragement.

This year, I won first place in the Primary Section of the Werale Asiriya 2026 All-Island School Art Competition, organised by the Turtle Conservation Project (TCP) in collaboration with the Panadura Urban Council.

What other school activities do you enjoy?

I enjoy being part of Little Friends, where we participate in many fun activities like drama, singing, and teamwork.

I’ve learnt many new skills and made lots of friends. I’m also looking forward to going on a camping trip with the group.

What is your ambition?

I want to become a chef.

Does this mean you enjoy cooking?

Yes. I like helping my mother in the kitchen. Sandwiches are the easiest thing for me to make, and I enjoy preparing them.
