The Department of Railways announced that train operations between Ambepussa and Alawwa will be limited to a single track from 1 to 5 April for bridge repairs.

Two Colombo Fort–Rambukkana trains will operate only up to Ambepussa from 1 to 4 April, while two trains will be cancelled on 2 April.

Passengers are advised to expect delays on main line services during this period.
