Minister Bimal Rathnayake stated that issues in obtaining fuel QR codes will be addressed today (19) and fully resolved by tomorrow (20).

He noted that problems mainly affect users with mismatched vehicle and phone number records.

Fuel demand has risen sharply in some districts, with certain stations selling up to 2.5 times normal volumes.

The Minister urged the public not to panic, stating that the system is expected to stabilise soon.
