Prime Group has been named the Official Real Estate Partner of two major school cricket encounters in Sri Lanka – the 147th Battle of the Blues between Royal College Colombo and S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia, and the 96th Battle of the Maroons between Ananda College Colombo and Nalanda College Colombo.

The partnerships coincide with Prime Group marking 30 years in Sri Lanka’s real estate sector and form part of the company’s initiatives related to youth and community development.

The Battle of the Blues, played between Royal College and S. Thomas’ College, is one of the longest-running school cricket encounters in the country, continuing for nearly 150 years. The match has developed into a longstanding annual event involving generations of students and alumni from the two schools.

The Battle of the Maroons, contested between Ananda College and Nalanda College, was first played in 1924. Over the years, the encounter has produced several cricketers who later represented clubs and the national team.

Prime Group said its partnerships with the two events recognise the role of schools and sports in youth development and community engagement. The encounters also bring together alumni, professionals and supporters associated with the four schools.
