Sri Lanka and Pakistan have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the digital economy by establishing a Joint Working Group on Information Technology and Digital Economy.

The decision was taken at the 13th session of the Sri Lanka–Pakistan Joint Economic Commission held in Colombo.

Both sides noted that the partnership will focus on digital infrastructure, IT services, e-governance and skills development.

Discussions also covered boosting bilateral trade, industrial cooperation, pharmaceutical investments and collaboration in the SME sector.
