In line with global market movements, gold prices in the local market have fallen by Rs. 5,000 today, marking a total decline of approximately Rs. 38,000 since last week.  

The price of a 24-carat gold sovereign has dropped from Rs. 408,000 on March 17 to Rs. 370,000 today (24). 

Similarly, a 22-carat gold sovereign's value has decreased from Rs. 375,300 to Rs. 340,400 over the same period.  

On the international stage, gold prices continue their downward trajectory, with the current global price at USD 4,344 per ounce.
