President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today(19) opened the National Cyber Security Operations Centre (NCSOC) and launched the National Cyber Protection Strategy (2025–2029) at the BMICH in Colombo.
The new center will provide 24-hour monitoring for 37 critical digital infrastructure institutions to identify and respond to cyber-attacks.
The strategy, a collaboration with the World Bank and the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT), aims to create a secure, reliable, and inclusive digital ecosystem as the country moves towards a digital economy.
President Dissanayake emphasized that cybersecurity is crucial for safeguarding national security and strengthening the economy.
