The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has rejected a request to allow daily legal consultations for Suresh Sallay, who is currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital of Colombo.

CID Director Shani Abeysekara informed Sallay’s wife that court-approved legal access will continue once a week on Wednesdays.

The CID said Sallay is hospitalised and not currently involved in investigative proceedings.

Family members, including his wife and children, are permitted daily visits.
