President’s Counsel Prasantha Lal de Alwis has been named the new Principal of Sri Lanka Law College, effective 22 October, following the retirement of Atula Pathinayake. 

The Appointment was made by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya.

De Alwis brings decades of experience, including his role as State Counsel at the Attorney General’s Department from 1983 to 1990. 

An LLB and LLM graduate from Colombo University, he has also been a lecturer at the Open University, Colombo University, and Sri Lanka Law College.
