A total of 175,661 tourists have arrived in the country so far in the month of March, data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) shows.

For comparison, a total of 229,298 tourists visited Sri Lanka in March 2025.

Between 1 January and 25 March this year, a total of 708,348 tourists visited Sri Lanka according to the data released by the SLTDA.

Among them, 139,164 individuals were from India, 74,295 from the UK and 63,505 from Russia, the SLTDA noted.

The data showed that 151,693 tourists arrived in the country in the first 25 days of March.
