Dear Lohan, you breathed your last while we are still trying to come to terms with the loss.

You were a colossus – a giant of a man who strode into every arena with unyielding determination and unwavering courage. 

I’ve never seen you flinch in the face of adversity; instead, you’d front up, not just for yourself, but for your loved ones and the countless friends who adored you.

Your heart was as big as your spirit. You were abundantly, boundary-less in your kindness, generosity, and compassion. If one was hungry, you fed him.

If they were troubled, you lent your shoulder. If they were down and out, you picked them up.  You never ran the race alone – you were selfless.

I’ll never forget your rugby days, when you and your team dominated the field, undefeated in 1987, eventually winning your Rugby Lion – a champion in every sense of the word. 

But it wasn’t just about the wins; it was about the way you championed the causes of those around you, fighting their battles until they were won.

Lohan, you are going to be missed like crazy, bro. Your love and kindness were abundant, and I’m so grateful to have shared space and time with you. 

Thank you for being a constant source of strength, for being a true friend, and for showing us what it meant to be courageous.

To your beloved family – every one of them – may God’s strength and courage be upon them, helping them with life that has to be lived.

Rest in peace, dear pal – your legacy will live on, your memory will never fade.

Though faded flowers may recall their breath, and wounded friendships bleed to death, yet, to know, to love and then to part, is the saddest tale of the human heart.
