Sri Lanka Police say 706 individuals were arrested during the 'Ratama Ekata' islandwide operation carried out on 17 July.

The arrests were made during 708 raids conducted across the country. Police said 11 suspects remain in custody under detention orders, while one individual is under investigation for suspected illegal assets.

Authorities also stated that four individuals have been referred for rehabilitation.
