Sri Lanka welcomed 896,884 tourists from January to April 2025, showing strong growth compared to the same period in 2024, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) reports.
April saw 174,608 arrivals—a 17% year-on-year rise, though slightly lower than the over 229,000 arrivals in each of the first three months.
Tourism officials remain optimistic, attributing the dip to seasonal patterns and noting the sector’s steady post-pandemic recovery.
