The Central Criminal Investigation Bureau (CCIB) is recording a statement from former State Minister Arundika Fernando as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug trafficker Shiran Basik.

Basik, who was recently brought to Sri Lanka from Dubai, is the subject of the investigation.

Investigators are also expected to obtain Fernando’s statement regarding his assets and liabilities as part of the probe.
