The Sri Lanka Veterinary Association (SLVA) has announced its readiness to provide assistance to pets, livestock, and stray animals affected by the ongoing flood situation.

SLVA President Sugath Premachandra urged the public to contact the association if help is required for trapped or impacted animals.

The association has made several hotlines available to coordinate assistance across the island. 

The general hotline is 071 6000 666, while specific contacts include Dr. Malaka Lasantha (071 414 5242) and Dr. Nilusha (070 610 3808).
