Sri Lanka will introduce its first digital motor insurance card from 1 May, the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development announced.

The initiative aims to advance digitalisation, improve public safety, and reduce the use of plastic cards.

It will be launched in collaboration with the Insurance Regulatory Commission, the Insurance Association, and Sri Lanka Police.
