Sri Lanka Police have warned the public about fraudulent messages claiming to be official notifications for speed limit violations and other traffic offences.

Police stated the messages are being circulated through social media and other digital platforms and may be used for phishing and online scams.

The public has been advised not to click on suspicious links, share personal or banking information, and to verify such messages only through official Sri Lanka Police channels and authorised government websites.
