At the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Minister of Health Nalinda Jayatissa called for ethical international recruitment as Sri Lanka faces a severe exodus of medical professionals. 

Highlighting the strain on primary healthcare and the country’s vision for “A Thriving Nation, A Beautiful Life,” he urged global cooperation and adherence to the World Health Organization (WHO) Code to address the ongoing crisis.
