The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says there are no plans to discontinue the QR code-based fuel quota system for now.
CPC Managing Director Mayura Neththikumarage said the system will remain in place due to uncertainty in the global fuel market and to help manage fuel supplies and Sri Lanka's foreign exchange reserves.
He added that the recent escalation of global conflicts has not affected the country's fuel supply, but the CPC is continuing to monitor the situation to prevent fuel shortages and long queues.
