More than 1,000 individuals were arrested yesterday (10) during 1,066 islandwide raids carried out under the “A Nation United” anti-drug operation, police stated.

According to the Police Media Division, a total of 1,060 suspects were taken into custody, while 36 others are being investigated under detention orders.

Meanwhile, 24 identified drug addicts were referred for rehabilitation.

During the raids, officers seized 732 grams of heroin and 583 grams of crystal methamphetamine (‘Ice’) along with other illicit drugs.
