Maria Tripodi, Italy's Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, will begin a three-day official visit to Sri Lanka tomorrow (3).
This marks the highest-level visit from Italy to Sri Lanka in nearly a decade.
During her visit, Deputy Minister Tripodi will co-chair the inaugural session of the Sri Lanka-Italy Political Consultations and is expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a formal dialogue mechanism.
She is also scheduled to meet with Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya and Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath.
