The Government has decided to prioritise relocating displaced families to safer locations rather than sending them back to their original homes, Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala informed Parliament today (5).

He said District and Divisional Secretaries have already been instructed to take necessary steps to ensure the safety and proper resettlement of affected individuals.
