The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 12-hour water cut in Homagama today, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., due to prevailing dry weather conditions.

Officials said the duration was reduced from an initially planned 24-hour suspension to 18 hours, and then further to 12 hours to ease inconvenience to consumers.

NWSDB Chairman Chandana Bandara stated that a special programme is in place to supply water via bowsers in case of further disruptions in the Colombo District.
