The Sri Lanka–UK Chamber of Commerce (SLUKCC), with the Sri Lanka High Commission, hosted a panel discussion on strengthening trade ties between Sri Lanka and the UK. 

Key speakers included UK Trade Envoy Lord John Hannett and Sri Lanka’s BOI Chairman Arjuna Herath, who highlighted opportunities in investment, trade, and innovation. 

The event also promoted Sri Lanka Expo 2026 and emphasized leveraging the UK's Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS).

Over 40 participants engaged in discussions on Sri Lanka’s strategic location, tourism, IT, and upcoming projects like Colombo Port City, aiming to deepen economic collaboration.
