World Bank Group (WBG) President Ajay Banga is set to visit Sri Lanka on Wednesday (7), making the first visit of a WBG Chief to the island nation in nearly 20 years.
This visit is key to Sri Lanka’s efforts of economic recovery by building a more resilient, inclusive, and private sector-led future.
Under the invitation of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the World Bank President is also scheduled to hold discussions with Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya, other senior Government officials and private sector leaders on overcoming challenges and regaining economic stability.
