The National People’s Power (NPP) secured a decisive victory in the Maharagama Urban Council.
NPP received 40,890 votes, winning 24 seats.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) garnered 12,000 votes and secured 6 seats.
The Independent group polled 5,627 votes, claiming 3 seats.
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) earned 5,247 votes, securing 3 seats.
‘Sarvajana Balaya’ (SB) achieved 4,233 votes, winning 2 seats.
