The Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen’s Association (SLESA) celebrated its 81st anniversary yesterday (28) at the Grand Maitland Reception Hall in Colombo, with Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Sampath Thuyacontha as Chief Guest.

Meritorious Service Medals, Lifetime Achievement insignia, and special honorary awards were presented to veterans for their exceptional service. 

The Defence Secretary paid tribute to the sacrifices of retired and fallen war heroes in safeguarding the nation.
