The Department of Railways Sri Lanka has announced that train services on the Northern Line between Colombo Fort Railway Station and Kankesanthurai will resume on 9 April.

Officials stated that reconstruction work has been completed following damage caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

Seat reservation facilities will be available for services from Mount Lavinia to Kankesanthurai departing at 5:15 a.m., and from Kankesanthurai to Mount Lavinia departing at 1:05 p.m.
