Major General Dinesh Udugama of the Gajaba Regiment assumed duties today (05) as the 70th Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army at Army Headquarters.

He formally assumed office at the Chief of Staff’s office, with religious observances held during the occasion and senior Army officers and other personnel in attendance.

A distinguished old boy of St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy, Major General Udugama previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army.
