The Cabinet has approved the implementation of the National Mineral Policy - 2026, following a proposal by the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.

The policy aims to update the national mineral database, add value to mineral exports, promote mineral-based industries, manage resources sustainably, and address land ownership issues during extraction.

The revised policy aligns with the government’s “A Rich Country - A Beautiful Life” framework under the theme “Sustainable Resource Utilization - Maximum Benefit Generation.”
